Skye, an Omaha native, is a saxophonist, composer, arranger, and teacher. He is currently pursuing a Doctoral in Musical Arts Degree in Jazz Studies with a focus on Music Technology at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
Having earned his Master of Music in Jazz Studies in May 2021 from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and his Bachelor of Music in Saxophone Performance in May 2019 from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, Skye has performed around the globe at various festivals and events in Japan, China, South Korea, Lithuania, Latvia, and the Czech Republic.
Notable performances include playing at the US Embassy in Beijing, China, the Saulkrasti Jazz Festival in Saulkrasti, Latvia, and the USA Yongsan Army Base in Seoul, South Korea. Skye has shared the stage with renowned artists such as Father John Misty, Conor Oberst, Chris Potter, Nathan East, Donny McCaslin, Dee Dee Bridgewater, and many others.
